David Jones is a teacher & coach utilizing the Jungian alchemy through Tarot Readings, journaling prompts, cognitive behavioral techniques and shadow work.
David first stumbled upon the concept of alchemy in college when he encountered the study of hermetics, the concept of “as above so below” relating to an ancient occult tradition encompassing alchemy, astrology, and theosophy.
Growing up as charismatic christian, and his ability to cultivate rituals to be possessed and overshadowed by divine influences , he was already interested in the mystical spiritual expansion beyond the normal religious journey .
Since then Through the practice of alchemy he’s been able to discover the principles of what he calls Magical thinking , which is a re-working / re imagining of what one thinks is possible and believing that there are methods to reduce undesired changes and increase desired transformation. Magical thinking = Anything is possible.
He found the that commonly belief’s of the inner child are most likely to fall prey to bad magical thinking because there is an absence of beliefs in modern day society . More likely to be drawn into fantasies and conspiracy theories or to fall prey to fearful paranoia keeping one from transforming in the ways they were trying to attract. But David found that you could also use magical thinking to keep that inner child happy, engaged and creative to cultivate a life you’ve always wanted thought an alchemic process of experimentation.
David’s goal is to help others on their journey to finding their path through Tarot and socratic method’s of journaling to dig deep into your inner child, shadow work and finding out who you really are.
