Today's guest, Dr. Robert Brüll, the CEO and Co-Founder of FibreCoat, whose mission is to make high performance materials affordable for everyone. Robert and FibreCoat have earned multiple prizes for their aluminum coated composite fibers, including most recently the JEC-World award, one of the most renown awards in the composite industry. Just like us, they believe materials science has the potential to sustainably improve our environment, our society, and our lives, so we are looking forward to diving into this story and this technology.

In this conversation, we discuss:
?️How can composite fibers play a role in shielding all households from electromagnetic radiation.
?️How material development changes for different applications (i.e., a conductive yarn for smart textiles vs. fibers for spacecrafts).
?️Advice for MSEs who would like to get involved in the composites industry.

We hope you enjoy the episode! And as always, let us know what topics you’d like us to cover next!
