On Friday the Dallas Stars announced that Rick Bowness would be stepping down as the head coach of the Dallas Stars. Bowness took over as HC for the franchise in December 2019, and his tenure has come to an end after two playoff appearances and one trip to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2020. Bones is one of the most respected men in the NHL and he led the team with excellence and passion, but it was time for both parties to separate. The Stars franchise is turning a new corner with some young talent on the roster and a plethora of prospects still in development. It's time to bring in a new coach who can manage the roster and take them to the promised land.
