Robert Swan is a polar environmentalist, author and founder of 2041, a company that is dedicated to the preservation of Antarctica. The year 2041 is hugely important as it marks the end of a 50 year treaty that was signed by almost every nation designating Antarctica as ‘a natural reserve land for science and peace’ as well as placing a ban on mining and mineral exploration for that period.
