Feeling distrust in your relationship when you love someone struggling with addiction can be quite common. But there is some real danger in that. Because addiction doesn't like to tell the truth (and it wants to stay in control), it decides to tell lies. Maybe they've denied drinking or taking pills or texting other people that they shouldn't.
