Description

This episode welcomes TEDx alumni Erica Wohldmann. She is is a scientist and a passionate environmentalist with a joint Ph.D. in cognitive psychology and cognitive science from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is also currently a Professor of Psychology at California State University, Northridge. We have her on the show today to talk ReWilding. If you have heard of reWilding yet, here is a great place to start. We talk not only about what reWilding is but also dip into the human cognitive relationship to nature, the role immersion to nature plays in our psychological and physiological health, and some tips to get yourself started. We also touch on agriculture, playing in the dirt, talking to plants, and the church of the forest.  Of course, no talk on reWilding would be complete without discussing the broken food shed in North America and its influence on degenerative diseases and obesity! Enjoy.   Full Show Notes: http://bit.ly/ATTMindRadioEp37   Support The Podcast PayPal Donation Patreon Other Options (including bitcoin)

Adventures Through The Mind is an interview-based podcast hosted by Canadian author and public educator, James W. Jesso. Although the show topics range---from spirituality, mental health, and emotional maturity; to love, relationships and sexuality; to history, philosophy, and neuroscience---there are two underlying themes that intersect them all: psychedelics & the mind. James W. Jesso is the author of Decomposing The Shadow: Lessons From The Psilocybin Mushroom and The True Light Of Darkness, both about his experiences exploring the potentials of psychedelics.
