This week, our host Salim is joined by co-host Rukshana, as they talk to Maz Saleem about one of the most heartbreaking experiences of her past. Maz tells us about her father, and how he was murdered by a terrorist in 2013. She shares her experience, from dealing with ignorant police to being treated as a suspect, with the killer only receiving justice three months after the murder. Following this, Maz tells us how her experience has pushed her to fight for justice for other Muslims and prevent them from being treated the same way. We look at the work she does, pushing against islamophobia and racism, representing and supporting other suffering Muslim families, and how at the end of the day, it all stems back from her father.
