Description

Jodie Henry is a 3x Olympic Champion. She won the 100 Free at the 2004 Athens Olympics and was part of both of Australia's winning relays (4x100 Free and Medley). She was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2015.
She learned how to swim at a young age and just progressed from there. It got serious at Chandler Swimming Club. Eventually moved to be coached with Shannon Rollason and his brother, Nathan.
In 2000, at just 16 years old, missed making the Sydney Olympic team by just .02. Instead, got to enjoy a home Olympics, learn and watch.
Jodie suggests so much of her swimming memories are all melted together. 
Being a very anxious person and being able to shut it down behind the blocks. Shannon gave her a specific plan to wave and smile.
2003 World Championships in Barcelona.
Breaking the 100 Free World Record in Semi Finals at the 2004 Athens Olympics . She went 53.52. Shannon calms her down, gets her mind right to prepare to go out and race and win. She really pulled away from the field over the last 25 meters.

The Relays.
Her relationship with Alice Mills (now Tait) and Libby Lenton (now Trickett). At one point in time the 3 fastest girls in the world in the 100 Free were all in Brisbane.
Training like a sprinter.
Jodie has 3 children. They all swim. Her husband won a couple AFL Championships.
