One of the most inexplicable (and beloved) Disney Channel Original movies, 2002’s “Cadet Kelly” starring Hilary Duff and Christy Carlson Romano is… honestly, a strange one. Is this the story of a liberal NYC mother-and-daughter’s totally unprompted RADICALIZATION? Or is this a very subtle, tongue-in-cheek, subtext-heavy tale of lesbian pining? We don’t have the answers, but we DO have the discourse. Obvi.
