Description
As a young professional working in politics, media booking and corporate communications, Lauren Wesley Wilson was dismayed to see a glaring lack of people of color in leadership roles. What started as a series of luncheons to bring together women of color in communications planted the seed for what would become ColorComm, Inc., the umbrella company that now oversees multiple businesses aimed at advancing the careers of women and men of color in the fields of media, marketing, advertising and digital communications.
An award winning diversity and inclusion strategist, Lauren shares the ways in which she sought mentors, relentlessly researched and asked for help in developing what is now the nation’s leading platform dedicated to increasing diversity and attaining leadership roles for women of color. Collaborating with peers, tailoring services to client feedback, and learning to be specific in her needs, Lauren has turned her passion for helping women into a wildly successful business that continues to grow and expand each year!
