Description
On this week’s episode, the team welcomes special guest, Larry Curtis, as we discuss our first documentary on the show: Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage. Larry, Tracy, and Jake are big Rush fans, so Val is taking the moderator’s seat. So, she’s asking all the questions. The documentary came out in 2010, and helped to push Rush more and more in to the mainstream limelight. The team is covering this film at a difficult time for Rush fans, as we recognize the recent sad passing of drummer/lyricist Neil Peart. The team spends time talking about how this sad event has affected them as well as Rush fans as a whole. He has left behind a catalog of work that is and will probably remain unrivaled.Tracy, Larry, and Jake loved this film, and loved watching this documentary (multiple times) in preparation for this episode, but how did Val feel about it? And can Tracy, Larry, and Jake look at this movie objectively, and take off their Rush fan glasses? Probably not.Have you seen Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage? What did you think?
