Our guest today is Steve Conant, who is a partner at Anbaric Development Partners, a Massachusetts-based company that specializes in early stage development of large-scale electric transmission systems, the transformation of the electric and heating/cooling systems on campuses, and storage solutions surrounding microgrid projects. Steve is passionate about environmental issues. He began his career working in municipal and federal government before transitioning to the government relations field. Steve is native to Lowell, Massachusetts. He attended UMass-Lowell for a B.A. in Philosophy & Environmental Science, and earned his M.A. in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University. He served as the President Green Line Devco, LLC, and spent 8 years working for Stone & Webster Engineering.   Steve worked as a District Director for Congressman Chester Atkins doing constituent affairs. Interestingly, Steve worked as a Principal Planner for MA Dept. of Environmental Management and as a Planning Director in Lowell. In his role at Anbaric, Steve spends his time responding to wind energy and transmission RFPs. He works with both state governments and the federal government to create better energy policy for local communities.
