As an Aitchison Public Service Fellow in Government, Jessup graduated Johns Hopkins University with the Julius Turner Award for best thesis in Political Science. In addition to serving in the Korean military, he worked at Korea’s most prestigious news agency Yonhap and law firm Kim and Chang. He has advocated for human rights through NGOs such as HRNK, Citizens' Alliance, LiNK, and TNKR.
