Description

Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions:  Nayeli: Hello Dr,I am 29 years old and have lived on topical steroids for eczema. In the last 4 years I've had sudden various health issues, gut issues, H. Pylori, severe urticaria, severe allergies to foods, sever spread of eczema, skin rashes on my entire body, and around the eyes. Severe swelling around my eye glands and nodes around my neck. Many rounds of antibiotics for about 4 years. After some research, I figured it might be the long term use of topical steroids. Are you familiar with topical steroid withdrawal? Do you work with patients with going through this? I am 4 weeks without steroids and my skin is flaring really bad. I would really like to start healing my body from the inside out. I don't know what else to do or who to go to for help. Thank you for your time! Ana: I was wondering if you could give us your opinion on the potential side effects of abortion considering both medical and surgical ways. I found out that I’m pregnant and even though I’d hate to undergo such drastic procedure I really don’t have another option at the moment. Is medical better than surgical? I’m in the middle of the CBO protocol (due to yeast overgrowth) and I’d hate for all of the work that I’ve done so far in healing my gut to go to waste... I really don’t know what to do. Please help. Dana: I have read the Rain Barrel Effect and my husband and I have both done the 7 day detox earlier this year. My husband was recently diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. He is currently doing the standard chemo/radiation treatments. My question is would there be any benefit to him doing any of the functional lab test or would he need to wait until he is finished with the cancer treatments. Molly: Hi, I'm beginning the sensitive gut protocol in a couple of days, along with the supplements. A couple of quick questions: Is popcorn allowed? I use organic corn in coconut oil, typically. And what about red wine occasionally? I've had the organic acids test already and the hair test. I was told on my coaching call that I don't have yeast - but that this protocol would still optimize health. Great podcast. Super helpful. Thanks! Sophie: Hi there, My name is Sophie, I’ve had a rash that has appeared every now and then on my face, usually around the outer crease of my eyes, and cheeks. I initially thought it may be related to Candida as I was constantly getting thrush. So I did the Cabral Candida protocol. It was fantastic, it’s been over a year and a half and I haven’t had thrush since. But the rash keeps coming back.I tried adrenal soothe and no results there. I noticed that it flared up when I was “warmer” and drank coffee or consumed alcohol, usually wine. I see myself as more of a pita dosha and when I over heat the rash flares. However, I quit coffee and the rash kept coming back. I am thinking it could either be a parasite reaction or something related to stress and my adrenals. We are planning to get pregnant this year and I want to clean up as much as possible. But I am also conscious of my finances. When I look at the test kits, I am overwhelmed by which one to choose. I know I am not estrogen dominant, but I haven’t done cortisol and adrenal tests. What lab testing would you recommend? As I can see there are two hormonal testing labs? I don’t really understand the difference. Can you please advise the best course of action for me!? Much love, Sophie Amanda: My 18yo daughter’s first two days of her period have become so unbearable she wants to get on the pill. I know it’s not natural and not a great choice in the short term (I’m afraid it will exacerbate her anxiety and depression) as well as have long term effects. She’s active and healthy, eats pretty well for a teen, doesn’t drink coffee or eat a lot of sugar. Over the last 3 months her cramps have
