First we’re speaking with Aras from the Christy Dawn team. Christy Dawn is an ethical and sustainable brand, founded by husband and wife duo, Christy and Aras, and they’ve been producing from deadstock since the brand's beginning. We’ll learn all about deadstock, what inspired their brand practices, and more.  But the story goes deeper in that! Along the way, Christy and Aras have discovered a desire to push past sustainable production, toward regeneration.  They’ve teamed up with a textile company in Southern India, called Oshadi Collective, to start a regenerative cotton farm, which will allow Christy Dawn to become a fully regenerative Farm-to-Closet company.  Part two of the episode takes us to Erode, India, where the Oshadi Collective founder Nishanth, shares more about this seed-to-stitch supply chain model and the historic roots of regenerative practices.  I think you’re gonna love this one for listening, and let’s dive right in!  All the Episode Links: @christydawn Christy Dawn website @oshadi_collective Kiss the Ground Robin Wall Kimmerer “The Honorable Harvest” Remake Garment Worker Protection Act Buttonwillow, California @ragfindersofca Fiber Shed @fibershed_ Farm to Closet - journal entry 1 Farm to Closet - journal entry 2 Farm to Closet - journal entry 3 Farm to Closet - journal entry 4 Oshadi Collective on regenerative agriculture for Vogue Oshadi Collective on the fashion supply chain in rural India for EcoAge   * JOIN THE PATREON COMMUNITY and get the Pre-Loved Podcast News Flash: https://www.patreon.com/prelovedpod  **For more good stuff every week be sure you subscribe to Emily’s newsletter!
