It is a major let down and really discouraging to be excited to start a new job, just to actually start and realize it's awful.
Red flags:

Lack of follow up from the team (recruiter, hiring manager, other team members)
People not providing straight answers to your questions
Lack of transparency
Resistance to you meeting with other team members
Negative tone of people you interview with
Sense of over worked employees
Company doesn't have a large online presence
Mostly negative online reviews for the organization
Pressure to accept the job on the spot
Unable to see offices (if not all remote company)
All the things are absolutely chaotic
Get a sense of spammy or too good to be true vibe
Lack of professionalism
Rude or abrasive
Offer comes in super low
Bad press
No sense of employees being able to take time away from laptop
