This episode turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag. There were some highlights for some of the castaways and low, lowlights for a couple others. Dan and Rodney's actions and cruel words have really turned off many fans. Their ongoing disrespectful antagonism of Shirin and Sierra have cemented their positions as the unwitting villains of the season. Meanwhile, Joe and Mike really gave their fans something to cheer for this week. There may be a temptation to give up on this season and write it off as predictable from here on, but we think it's way too soon for that. Based on the depth and enjoyment the first seven episodes provided, we believe season 30 has more surprises in store for us.
