As founder of The Ultimate Birth Photography Resource, Ashley has been shooting professionally since 2011. She earned her Certified Professional Photographer license in 2014 and her Master Photographic Craftsman degree in January of 2017. Ashley learned storytelling and production from her 13 year career in sports television working for ESPN.
In this episode, Ashley and I talk about the growing trend of Birth Photography and the process she takes in the delivery room, along with what’s involved in capturing photos of the newborn shortly after.
Ashley gives us really good tips on the unique challenges that come with birth photography and how to combat those challenges. She also discusses the special relationship that is formed with her clients because of the time she spends with them and the emotional bonding that happens in this type of photography.
