Description

Today’s topic is something that I’ve been asked a lot about, but it’s something that I’ve always struggled to share. I am opening the door for the first time on a very vulnerable, difficult and now, exciting part of me and Brian’s story. It’s something that I needed to get to a certain place in my life and heart, before I was really ready to open up and share. I’ve been feeling, for a few months, that the time is coming. I’d even planned on writing a big blog post last year, but I kept putting it off. I kept procrastinating. Subconsciously, I just wasn’t ready to share. However, after I ended up starting my own podcast, I felt like it was time to talk about it. It’s much easier for me to share this with my voice rather than trying to find the right words in writing... This is the story of the start of my business. How a little hobby blog, that I kept in the quiet, late night hours, while waiting for my husband to get home from a job that he hated, and how it was so difficult for us because we were barely getting by. This is how this little blog turned into a global empire and saved our family and got my husband out of his 9 to 5.   Everything I talk about in this episode can be found here: http://alliecasazza.com/shownotes/006

Mom life: we’re surrounded with the message that it’s the tired life, the no-time-for-myself life, the HARD life. And while it is hard and full of lots of servitude, the idea that motherhood means a joy-less life is something I’m passionate about putting a stop to. I’m on a mission to help you stop counting down the minutes till bedtime (at least most days). I want you to stop cleaning up after your kids’ childhood, and start being present for it - start enjoying it. I believe in John 10:10, that we are called to abundant life, and I know mothers are NOT excluded from that promise. Join me in conversations about simplicity, minimalism, and lots of other good stuff that leads to a life of less for the sake of enjoying more in motherhood. I’m Allie Casazza, and this is The Purpose Show.
