Today in the guest chair we have self described accidental entrepreneurs Chioma and Uchenna, the Founders of Cee Cee's Closet NYC. What started with selling cute clutches that were brought back from Nigeria has expanded into a full fledged business incorporating products like headwraps, backpacks, and leather goods. Being a black-women-owned business to them meant having an opportunity to create highly functional products that tap into their Nigerian cultural heritage and specific needs. This is especially true when you think about their silk-lined headwraps. As two naturalistas, they wanted to remove the step of having to wear a bonnet or silk scarf underneath our headwraps to protect their hair. Therefore, they created a product that addressed that particular need. Most importantly, Chioma and Uchenna view Cee Cee's Closet NYC as an opportunity to have a positive economic impact on Nigeria. All of their products are made locally in Nigeria.
