Description

Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions:  Samantha: Hi Dr. Cabral! So happy my mom turned me on to you. I will get straight to the point! I have been getting small eczema patches on my forearms the last few winters (I am 28yo female) when never having them before. They started to show up in August of 2018, a lot sooner than I was expecting. My mom bought me a food sensitivity test (thinking there was a correlation) and low and behold I had high reactions to eggs, barley and wheat. Once I cut those out on elimination diet, my skin cleared! 30 days later I reintroduced one at a time to see reaction, and I have been dealing with the worst flare up of my life ever since (It is now March). My skin went crazy! Both my arms became covered and there were times when my skin was literally hot to the touch. I obviously cut out eggs and gluten, and eventually dairy, alcohol, nightshades, legumes and meat. My skin finally has started to calm down a bit. I took the stool test and was positive for E. Coli, Blastocystis Hominis, and some yeast (NG of candida, though). Starting parasite cleanse soon and also just purchased OAT to get more answers. My question is, is there a correlation between parasites/E. Coli and food sensitivites? Is it possible to eventually reverse these sensitivities? My diet is so restricted right now and losing too much weight, but it is the only way to keep my skin from being on fire and extremely itchy. Thank you for all of your guidance and the positivity you spread daily! I know this will be a while before it answered. I hope it can help someone else out there as well. Thank you! -Sammy Samantha: Hi! My name is Samantha and I love your approach on treating disease and other common health issues. For about a month now, I have been experiencing immense pain in my back, arms, and legs. I am 19 years old and I have been lifting weights for about three years. Lately, whenever I weight lift I get light headed, shaky, my feet get cold, and chest pain. It it is like my entire body has been drained of energy when I barely started my workout. I have went to many conventional doctors and they gave me diagnosis such as GERD, but I have had no improvement. I would love to hear your opinion and hopefully get some insight on what is wrong with me and how I can treat it, holistically. I eat a very balanced diet and I am always active, so I would really appreciate your help. Thank you! Ella: Hi Dr Cabral. I've recently come across your podcast through Melissa Ambrosini and I'm obsessed. Just wanted to say thank you for all your free information. My concern is this: I'm 22 years old and started getting grey hairs at 20/21. It's rapidly progressing and I find more and more every day. I've started to dye my hair because I am so self-conscious of going grey so young. Everyone tells me it's genetic but my intuition tells me something deeper is going on. The last 2 years of my degree was when this happened and I was stressed out of my mind (14 hour study days, no breaks, bad sleeping patterns, etc). I was also vegan for 6 years and am a vata body type (i've been transitioning out of this now after concerns that my overall health is depleting). I dont eat gluten but am always gassy or bloated after meals and sometimes feel so full and gross i dont want to eat. Can you please help me see if this is a mineral deficiency or if it's hormonally based? Which tests should I run? Thanks so much. Hannah: Hello hello! I was curious to know your opinion on spore-based versus non-spore based probiotics. So thankful for all you do! Stephanie: Hi Dr Cabral ... cannot thank you enough for all that you do! Your energy and enthusiasm is infectious. i tell just about everyone I know about you and your podcasts! I’m Writing a question on behalf of a friend who was diagnosed with Charcot Marie Tooth
