About this ebook

He's my riskiest gamble... and my deepest regret.

The plan was straightforward.

Attend one wrestling show.

Escape my mundane reality. And then... forget him.

Problem number one?

Dean Rollins, the tattooed god with a body made for sin, caught me.

Problem number two?

He decided I belonged in his world. At his side.

Dean's ring may be the fiercest arena I’ve ever entered, but his touch sets my world ablaze.

Hardened, mysterious, and breathtakingly intense, he dominates every space he occupies.

Little does he know, he just met his equal.

He may be the reckless hero of the wrestling world.

But this underdog is ready to claim her crown.

**Author’s Note:** The Wrestler is a standalone enemies-to-lovers romance that pits a guarded wrestler against a spirited teacher. It unfolds in the gritty, glamorous backdrop of professional wrestling.

    ONE

    Sienna The Third Wheel

I sat at Buffalo Wild Wings with the aroma of mild hot sauce stinging my nose. That was the only thing making me feel like I was alive. Other than that, I was a ghost, a twenty-three-year-old woman having an out-of-body experience.

I had been out with my best friend Michelle and her dad-joke-telling boyfriend Mike on numerous occasions to the point where I should not have felt strange in the slightest. But I guess I just became suddenly self-aware of my singlehood.

It might have been when one of my students asked me if I was married. Teaching fifth graders can often make you feel old even when you’re not old. But hey, it still felt like yesterday that I was celebrating finally becoming eighteen. Times flies. And that meant that I would soon be fifty. What was I doing with my life? Where was my boyfriend with corny jokes? Once the night ended, they would go home together, Netflix and Chill while forgetting about my existence for however long they melted away together. I would be going home to nothing but the notion that I would have to eventually go back to work and live out the same existence all over again. Was that a dreary outlook? Probably. And that wasn’t usually my disposition. I usually envisioned myself as one of the characters on Sex and The City with an undying hope that I’d one day turn into this highly sought-after mythic goddess of a woman. Thanks to my student, she was dead.

You alright? Michelle asked, catching me staring into the wings that no longer bother my nose.

Yeah, I let out a nervous laugh. I was just thinking of something my student said today. No big. What were we talking about again? Kim Kardashian's law degree, right. She's not—

No, Sienna, I don’t think you heard us.

We’re getting married! Mike proclaimed as a flurry of questions and emotions filled the top half of my body.

Wait what…I know I spaced out but I did not miss a proposal.

Both of them laughed together and even though I was having my pity party, that was cute.

Mike proposed to me in Central Park three days ago. We haven’t told anyone yet because I told Mike I wanted to tell you in person.

And of course, me being the perfect fiancé, I obliged.

My best friend was engaged. She was someone’s fiancée. I had a can of Chef Boyardee at home. He was technically the only man in my life for the past few months. As stupid as that sounded. Why was I jealous? I should have been happy for her? Why was I sad? That wasn’t the emotion that a best friend was supposed to have. I was supposed to get thoughts about planning her bachelorette party. I was supposed to envision myself standing there next to her at the altar while
