Introduction
Within our physical bodies, we have two little ‘armies’ there to protect us and rebuild where necessary. These are part of our immune system. Doctors refer to them as red and white corpuscles.
The white are the elite troops, who are always called first to fight off intruders. To remain strong at all times, they require Vitamin C in large quantities. This is found in all fruits and vegetables. Only meat does not contain any.
When we are sick, the need for this vitamin is magnified and especially for someone who smokes cigarettes. In this book, Robert C is in charge of the White Army. Dick B is in charge of the Red Army. The Red Army needs the B Vitamins, which are numerous This Army, when not backing up Robert C’s troops, is primarily building and maintaining every cell wall in the body. This is a massive job. There are nine B Vitamins required in the brain to keep it functioning correctly and the B Army are in charge here as well. The brain has many cells.
B Vitamins are found in meat, especially liver as well as wheat germ, yeast, nuts, and liver pate. A previous government extracted wheat germ from our flour, a long time ago.
Based on the actual knowledge of the two armies in the flesh body, I have built my story with its imaginary characters. Tiny is the new recruit. Marcus is his line manager. The Brigadier is in overall charge. Beryl is the tea lady and Robert C and Dick B are there as well, as key characters.
You enter the story as the reinforcement troops assemble and are given their drinks to shrink them down in size, so they can enter the body. The Doctors have called for their help with a patient, whose original armies have become exhausted.
So, join Tiny on his adventure inside a human body. Enjoy the story and the fight to protect. Even Covid joins in along the way, How much longer, Chief?
said Tiny, never the patient one.
Not long now, Tiny. Don’t go disappearing like you normally do. I am going to pair you with someone who is experienced, as this is your first trip into a body, isn’t it?
Yes Chief, and I’m very nervous.
I know you are, but so was I when I first started. I have spoken to Dick, of Group B and he is sending Marcus over to pair with you. So don’t do a disappearing act, Tiny. If we get called and you are not present, that means we will be a man down in Group C!
I’m ready, Chief, I need some action.
You will get plenty action when we get called. This looks like Marcus. Hello, Marcus, this is Tiny, he’s restless as always.
Hi, Tiny, I’m Marcus. We will soon be starting. Let’s see if we have everything ready.
Thank you, Marcus. I’m Robert C, Chief of the Group C.
Hello, Robert, Dick has told me all about you and this Group. I hear you quite often take the brunt of the work, and the danger.
That we do, Marcus. Look out, Tiny has disappeared whilst we’ve been talking!
I’ll go find him and be back soon.
Dick warned me I’d have my hands full with Tiny. Good at his job, if you can keep him on it,
he said. I’ll have to leave it to Marcus now. Now look, there’s the orange light and I’m two men down. It’s too late to recruit now.
Group C ready for the off. Nearly time to go.
The rest of the Group looked good. Here comes the Brigadier.
All set, Robert?
asked the Brigadier.
Yes, but I’m two men down.
Not that Tiny again?
I’m afraid so,
replied Robert.
Excuse me, Sir, it’s Forest, sir, I’ve just seen Tiny. Permission to bring him in.
Certainly. But no broken bones, Forest.
I’ll go easy, but I need the practice.
So, who is this Forest?
asked the Brigadier.
Top notch rugby player for the hospital.
Ouch! Yes, so I see. Tiny will have plenty of bruises by now! Perhaps that will slow him down.
Let’s hope so. Time to go. Marcus will have to catch us up,
said Robert.
It was against my better judgement to give Tiny his slot,
said the Brigadier.
Right, let’s go now. Tiny, get through that hole.
It looks too small,
said Tiny.
Nonsense. Robert got through and he’s bigger than you. Head down now and with my boot behind you, you’ll sail through. Someone will catch you and I shall be right behind you,
said the Brigadier.
That wasn’t too bad, was it, Tiny?
It’s dark,
whined Tiny.
Of course! You didn’t expect street lighting, did you?
huffed the Brigadier.
"I didn’t know what
