Thai Girls, Sex and the Supernatural is a collection of essays about love and sex, mainly in Thailand and the Philippines written over the past 20 years and initially contributed to various Thailand forums. They offer a frank, and sometimes humorous, description of what single males get up to in the fleshpots of SE Asia, but the author has spared the reader any blow by blow descriptions of sexual encounters. There is history here, too: A Forgotten Sex Capital turns out to be Pompeii, Boswell on the Grand Tour and Byron in Italy. There is also literature, reviews of books and a few of the author's own poems, most notably, a narrative poems entitled, The Rape of the Bangkok Lock. This new edition brings the collection up to date with articles from 2023.

Bangkok Byron

Bangkok Byron is famous (or should that be "infamous"?) for his numerous contributions to the Thailand forums. Bangkok Byron is, of course, a pen name (earned when he wrote his long narrative poem, Bangkok Don Juan, in the same verse form as Byron's Don Juan) to conceal his identity on account of his adventures (or should that be "misadventures"?) in the fleshpots of SE Asia.
