Myrewood - David Williams
Preface
The story of the Myrewood, and all tales set in Ardul, are only one half of a whole. The other half is set in music, also written by David Williams. This idea of stories in music isn’t new, far from it. But this one was born to be in both. Some of the best stories told outside of text have legendary musical scores to enhance the experience.
You may not be too interested the style of music this has been set to so far, unless you like loud symphonic death metal with harsh vocals. And that’s okay. But that’s where a lot of the experience is in this story: the melodies and emotions and motifs. The dark
in dark fantasy really comes out in the music.
A lot of intention and care went into this creation, and many years of it waiting to be born and released into the world.
This is just the beginning. There’s a whole world of stories waiting to be told.

the prince asked as he rubbed his forehead and pulled his brown hair back. The carriage jostled roughly and he knocked his head against the wall. He glared at the roof as if it had done it on purpose. Once he let go of the transgression, he tried to get comfortable again as he readjusted and lifted himself up, and finally plopped down, then groaned in discomfort.
Collin, an older man with a well-practiced expression of patience on his face, replied, "Normally the voyage is three days, but
