    Arbor Hill, which coincidentally looked over the farming village of Arbor, was quite well known in the region since it served as a landmark for merchants navigating untamed terrain. There was a good bit of business to be done with the good people who lived there on the edge of the map. And being on the frontier of civilisation, there was more than a fair share of profitable adventure to be had as well.

    Arbor Hill was like a lighthouse for the region. It was a gently sloped on all sides, grassy and open and unmistakable thanks to the to a singular oak tree that made it’s home there. its ancient branches reached over thirty feet into the air, fanning out into bushy fingers fluttering in the wind that shaded almost the entire hill.

    In the summer months it would be a popular place for lovers to court and carve their names among the others in the bark of the old oak. Or perhaps offering some shade to a picnicking family taking the day off.

    But today, the tranquillity on Arbor Hill was interrupted by a geyser of dirt shooting from between a tangle of thick roots, followed by a pale, slender hand reaching out of the earth and feeling around for handholds. It managed to tangle its dainty fingers into a clump of grass and pulled. An arm sheathed in silver pauldrons, then a head emerged, her long blonde hair tangled and dirty from a mixture of spelunking and battle.
