How to Use This Book
Just the Page(s) You Need
This book is designed to be your companion for any online learning you are creating – just identify the chapter and section that applies to your content. Due to this design, some content will be repeated across sections.
Must, Should, Could
Within each topic, the accessibility principles are broken down into Must Do, Should Do, and Could Do, giving friendlier names to WCAG 2.2 Levels A-AAA. Other accessible design recommendations from government agencies and researchers are also included.
Do the Must
things to ensure basic accessibility. Do the Should
and Could
options to make your online learning even more accessible. This book will also briefly cover the kinds of disabilities you can accommodate thanks to these recommendations and practices.
Checklists, Of Course!
At the end of each section, you will find a short checklist summarizing the recommendations. Use these to get started right away!
