The Dutch Girl
Aisyah Humairah
H
i, I'm Gea Angelina Amanda, a teenage girl who is living without her parents for the first time. I just finished my elementary school education, and now I will continue my junior high school education at a boarding school. A school is known for its discipline. Besides being known for its discipline, my school is also known for having many scary horror stories. But for me, it's just an ordinary story. The story my senior gave me scared us as new students.
Until one day, when me and my roommates got together. The head of my room, Bella, told me and my roommates a scary story about a Dutch girl who was in charge of my dormitory building. I wasn't really interested in my room chairman's story at first. But, I listened to it because my roommates were inquisitive and delighted to hear the story told by the chairman of my room. We were so engrossed in listening to the story told by the chairman of my room that we didn't realise it was almost nightfall. We are also getting ready to perform the Maghrib prayer in the congregation.
I didn't pay too much attention to the horror stories told by the chairman of my room. When I was about to leave for the mosque, my roommate called me from a distance.
Gea, wait for me,
Anin said. I stopped my steps so that Anin could match my steps.
I still remember sister Bella's horror story, what if I saw that girl? Ugh, it's really scary.
Anin said while shuddering.
What do you need to be afraid of, Anin?
It's just an ordinary horror story." I said reply
But that's a true story, Gea,
Anin said while advancing her face towards me.
No one really saw that girl,
I replied while retreating Anin's face from in front of my face.
There is Gea, a new student three years ago who saw that girl. You don't believe that story.
No, I don't believe or care,
I replied while raising my shoulders and hastening my steps towards the mosque.
Hey Gea, wait for me,
Anin said while speeding up his steps.
We didn't have any strange or disturbing experiences after hearing Bella's horror stories. I go about my job as usual, and now Anin is also my best friend, who likes to be ignorant and terrify me. That doesn't bother me.
Hey guys, have you heard? Jihan, a student in room 204, saw the Dutch girl, now she has a fever and plans to go home,
Anin said while opening the bedroom door.
Yes, I have heard of it. My classmate is in the same room as Jihan,
said Deby, who is also my roommate.
Did you also hear Gea talk about the story?
Anin asked me.
I don't know; I slept during school breaks, so I didn't listen to it.
My reply lied a little because I wasn't really interested in the story.
You asked her, Anin, of course, she didn't know. In class, she just sleeps.
Said Ayunda, a roommate and one of my classmates.
Hehehe yeah, so what's the story, Anin?
I asked as if I were enthusiastic, even though I wasn't really interested in the horror story. Anin told us enthusiastically about Jihan's horror story that she heard from a classmate. The bell rings, indicating the time for the Zuhur prayer. My friends and I got up from our respective seats and started getting ready to perform the Zuhur prayer in the rings, Hehehe, enthusiastic, congregation.
Today is Saturday, a day that my friends and I really like because on Saturday night the dormitory students are allowed to do all the activities they want to do, including watching television until midnight. This Saturday night, my roommates and I decided to watch an action and romance film.
In the corner of the third floor of my dorm, there is a large room with a television, which we usually use to watch movies together. We agreed to watch The Bounty Hunter. After finishing the Isya prayer in the congregation, my roommates and I got ready to watch a movie together. I brought some snacks and my favourite pillow. Likewise, Anin brought her favourite snacks and blindfolds.
Anin and I rushed to the third floor so we could choose to sit in the second row in front of the television. So that we can freely watch movies while lying on the floor. After the clock shows 8 p.m., the movie begins. I enjoyed the movie while occasionally munching on the snacks I brought with me. Not only do we watch romance and action movies, but we also watch comedy movies. I didn't realise it was already midnight—at 11 p.m., to be precise. Most of the dormitory students had already returned to their rooms. There were only ten people left, including me and Anin.
Hey guys, how about we just watch a horror movie?
Anin said, proposing his opinion to us.
But it's already 11 p.m.; aren't you scared?
replied to Gita, room 301
Yeah, you'll be afraid to go to the bathroom and come back to your room again, Anin,
said Ayas, Gita's roommate.
No, I won't be afraid that Gea will accompany me later. Isn't that right, Gea?
Anin replied while pointing at me.
It's up to you, Anin,
I replied.
Okay, we will watch a horror movie. If anyone is afraid, please go back to their rooms.
Gita then stood up to change the television channel to a horror film.
To be honest, I was a little scared, screamed, and hugged Anin when the ghost scene suddenly appeared. Likewise, with Anin, he mostly covered his eyes with a blindfold that she had brought with her to use while watching movies. Even so, Anin and I still finished the film by the time she reached the end.
It didn't seem like it was already 00.30 a.m., with heavy rain. The remaining dorm students rushed back to their dorms. But not with Anin and me. We must first inspect each room. Are the doors to each room closed, the lights turned off in each room and corridor, and the windows in the dormitory building locked?
Since such an assignment is scheduled for me and Anin today, Anin and I decided to go over each room together. But we split it in two. I will check the room on the right, and Anin will check the room on the left. We started checking every room on the third floor. There was nothing awkward or scary when we checked the rooms on the second and third floors.
Anin asked me to check every room first when I got to the first floor because she had to go to the toilet. I agreed with her. I started exploring the room from the left side because my room was on the right side. I didn't feel awkward or scared when I checked left and right. Until then, I made sure all the lights were off and the doors in every room were locked. I saw one room whose door was still open.
Precisely at the very end of the room on the right side of the first floor. Since I had turned off the corridor light, I headed for the room. Exactly one room before the room whose door was open, I saw a teenage girl about twelve years old in a white dress with short hair, complete with accessories in her hair, at the front door. I'm not sure who the girl is, so I tried to call her and told her to close the door first.
But there was no response from the girl. I didn't even care who the girl was and started doing my job to close every door in the room. When I arrived at the door, I ran into the girl. His face was pale, almost blue. His eyes are pure white. I was speechless when the girl looked back at me. I can't think or move. Until the girl slowly walked into the room.
Shortly after the girl entered, I realised it and immediately closed the door. I acted oblivious to what I just saw and went straight to my room. When I was about to open my bedroom door, I realised that there was no girl aged twelve with short hair, pure white eyes, and a pale blue face. I immediately fell unconscious, and when I woke up, I found myself already in the house. I'm sure the girl I met that Saturday night was the Dutch girl who was waiting in my dormitory building. I'm also sure that the girl just wanted to get to know me and show me that in this world, we live side by side with invisible creatures.

delyn is a 16-year-old junior high school student. Today is the first day of school in the senior year. Adelyn was very happy because she didn't realise that she had entered her senior year, which meant that next year she would be a senior high school student. But Adelyn's joy faded when she was approached by some of her classmates, who called her 'fat'.
At first, Adelyn was normal because it was true that she was fat, and she thought it was just a joke made by them. Nita has been Adelyn's friend since elementary school; she doesn't accept it when they call Adelyn 'fat'. Of course, Nita immediately scolded the three people, but Adelyn told Nita to stop scolding them because, according to Adelyn, it was impossible on the first day Nita entered to make a fuss just to defend herself.
Finally, Adelyn felt that the nickname 'fat' was not just a joke that they made, but they mocked herself because not only occasionally did they call Adelyn 'fat," but even worse, sometimes Adelyn was compared to her chairmate named Vivi. Vivi is quite beautiful and not too fat, but she doesn't justify what her friends have done. For her, she
