Ghazi Mikdashi
Born in 1941, Ghazi Mikdashi received an architecture degree and pursued graduate studies in Islamic Architecture in Liege, Belgium. He has a PhD in arts and archaeology from the Lebanese University. He studied piano at the Institute of Arts in Beirut and classical music composition in Liege. His career includes teaching architecture at the Lebanese University, designing several award-winning architectural projects in Beirut, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Cairo, and Oman, and founding the Sanabel Group. He is a published author and musician. He currently resides in Beirut, Lebanon.

There are few pleasures greater than stepping onto new land and meeting new people after a long journey at sea. Sailing around the world and exploring new countries, cultures, and customs had been the greatest source of happiness for Sindibad. Though his adventures were perilous, and he faced many near-death experiences, he left each trial victorious and wiser. During his illuminating travels, he encountered animals, birds, and fish he had never seen before. The dangerous experiences were all worth it for they brought richness to his life.
Driven by his desire to explore new lands and the mysteries of the unknown, Sindibad crossed dark oceans beneath glittering skies. This adventure began as so many of his other adventures began. Sindibad found himself aboard his ship, dreaming of possibilities and wondering what novelties he might see and experience. Standing proudly at the helm of his ship, Sindibad gazed at the stars with shining eyes. He knew this adventure would be the greatest of them all.
The following day was slow and calm with no threats on the horizon and a playful breeze teasing the ship’s sails. As
