Impetuosity

On her way to work, right before midnight, Sam Cardel witnesses a man abusing a woman and rushes to her aid, engaging in a brutal fight with her attacker. With her extensive martial arts training, she easily overpowers the man, leaving him battered and broken, while she remains unmoved by his cries.

 

Sam leaves the man bleeding on the sidewalk and continues her commute, arriving at work a few minutes later, seemingly unfazed by the incident. Yet, as the night goes on, she can't shake the feeling that something is off. 

 

Sam soon realizes that the consequences of her good deed will be far more punishing than she could have ever expected. The loss she will suffer will have such an impact that her resilience will falter, leaving her uncertain of her ability to persevere. Can she find the inner strength to fight back and reclaim what is rightfully hers? Despite her weakened state, will Sam Cardel be able to stay determined and press forward?
