Upbringings
I was born in 1951, where family value, love, and respect for each other was the most important aspect in our family as well as in other families. My given name at birth was Anne Alma Savarino. Women stayed at home to raise their children and maintained a loving home atmosphere for their husband and children. Men were considered to be sole providers for their families. In those days, income from one person for a family was sufficient and lifestyle was moderate and simple. We were taught to respect our elders and children were thought proper mannerism and edict parenting to socialize with other people.
Respect for another was the utmost trait required in family life, personal life, and also in the workforce life. Whether you were a laborer in a work field with a regular job or a career-oriented person in a professional field, or an entrepreneur with a business of your own, respect between one another, with co-workers, employees, and friends was respected and honored. Socializing with one another was exciting and a great learning experience that increased our knowledge and understanding in human nature and having compassion with one another. We are all alike and not much different in our endeavors and desires. Even our tribulations and our accomplishment in life are quite similar, but in different aspects, timing, and mashing individual choices of where our pathway leads us.
Of course, through the next levels of decades – 1950 to 2020 – women have become a strong influence in the work field as well as providing a second income while still being able to maintain a solid home life for their family. Men have learned to share responsibilities with home life as well as washing outside the home with their jobs and career. Women are now considered on an equal status as man in position at work and equal pay. Some women earn more than men in wages, depending on the job title, experience, and qualifications required for filling certain job positions. In regards toward childcare for both parents working, when it comes to pre-schools then a daycare center is available… nursery schools and grandparents that are retired also help out their families in today’s world; you require two incomes to maybe get a good, comfortable living. My parents both worked and my grandmother, Maria, raised me and my
