About this ebook
This story is about victory against all odds. It says that God is alive; is interested in the least of us; and will intervene in our lives for the good of all.
Donald R. Ware
Donald Russell Ware, M.D., was born in Los Angeles, California. He is the child of parents who migrated from Texas to California in pursuit of a better life. His mother was a successful career woman in the 1940’s, working and struggling with a very difficult pregnancy to term all at the same time. He was her first and only child at age 38. She bled almost the entire pregnancy and required experimental intensive care in the Los Angeles County Hospital. His father was an educator and labor leader. Many prayers, excellent medical care and visits from family members and friends caused her to have an excellent delivery. She delivered her only child during the Thanksgiving season. Due to circumstances, he was raised by his mother to attend the Los Angeles public schools where many believed that there was little hope of success for a person. He did excel in Academics and Leadership. He went on to 3 years studying in the University of Redlands and then entered the University of California, San Francisco Medical School and the Berkeley School of Public Health, where he earned a simultaneous M.D. and Masters of Public Health degree. He then moved to the Bronx where he trained in Internal Medicine; moved to Bethesda, Maryland where he was the Medical Officer of the Country’s very successful High Blood Pressure Education Program. Later, he moved to Cambridge, MA. to be a part of the Harvard University Health Policy Program. He had to move back to California because of his mother’s illness and went on to become a Fellow at Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Los Angeles specializing in the area of Cardiology. He is currently in private practice today.

PREFACE
Greetings to all. Knowledge of the coming of this book has been for over twenty years. Many have spoken of the coming of this book. Many wondered how I could, win such a case against such great odds, outside of media scrutiny and public pressure. The answer is contained here, in this book. The timing of the writing of this book was not mine, but the Lord’s.
I was told to wait on the Lord. To write the book in HIS timing. Patience, have patience, the time will come. So I waited with patience for the appointed time to come. Last year, I received about 14 messages in a row in my computer inbox saying publish that book!
I had never seen such a display of information on a computer. So, I thought that is was now time to publish the book! That was in March of 2013. It is now approximately one year later and I have completed the task.
My life has been unusual, rewarding and in many ways difficult. Through it all, I thank God for my life and the opportunity to be a part of making HIS point in the issues and testimony encompassed in this book, THE CHARIOT HAS COME.
I thank my parents that, despite all odds, concerns and doctor recommendations, pushed on with our pregnancy to deliver a live child. A baby boy.
Finally, I wish to thank the Evangelist Betty Comes, who through it all, brought encouragement, friendship, humor, common sense and, most importantly, the Word of the Lord to me throughout this monumental struggle. She passed away this year, before the completion of this book, but she knew that it was eminent. She will always be remembered by me and many, many other people that she has helped along the way.
The accounts in this book are true and represent my efforts to chronicle my attempt to follow that which was laid before me to do. To the Glory of God.

INTRODUCTION
Many may wonder how and why there are so many images in smoke and fire that are documented in this book of actions. The images support the oral prophecies that were proclaimed in regards to my life and the encounters herein described.
The authority of the testimony of this book and the supporting images stem, I believe from the Old and New Testament. In the Old Testament, the Book of Joel as well as the Book of Acts in the New Testament speaks to the formation of wonders of God, through His spirit, in the form of smoke and fire. In today’s world, this could be in the form of candles, which are a type of clay
that can be molded basically by smoke and fire. Also, we now have the ability of capture forms in pictures. Prior the invention of the camera, to capture images in the incense of smoke, would have been impossible. I have captured on film images as incense formation on September 30, 1989.
. . . And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire and pillars of smoke.
Joel 2:28-30
It is my sincere desire that no matter what you might believe, you will find inspiration for you own life from what has been written. May you find peace and success in all of your endeavors.

THE BEGINNING
I am the only child from the union of Henry Alton and Callie Turner Ware. My father had been married previously to Willie Ware. Their union produced three children: Doris, Henry, Jr., and Wanda. My father was a Texas lifetime certified teacher. He was also a school principal in Tyler, Texas. My mother was from the very small town of Mexia, Texas. She did well in school and moved out of Mexia to attend Prairie View College of Nursing outside of Houston, Texas. In her day, and to this day the profession of nursing was quite honorable. Her family was quite proud of her and her accomplishments. She graduated from that great institution in 1934. After graduation, she moved to Gilmer, Texas to work in an orphanage.
My mother met my father while she was taking care of one of his family members at Cotton Belt Hospital in Texarkana, in the mid-1940s. They fell in love, married, and moved to Watsonville, California, during World War II. My father taught United States military servicemen the basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills. Later, they moved to Los Angeles. He tried to get a job with the School District, but he couldn’t do it. In order to support his family, he worked as a laborer for the rubber industry.
THE QUESTION OF LIFE OR DEATH SURVIVAL
SHALL HE COME OR NOT
In Los Angeles, they resided near Santa Barbara and Central Avenue initially. Later, they moved further southwest in Los Angeles. My mother became a successful surgical nurse at Temple Hospital, the first African American to do so as I was told. When my mother was in her late thirties, my parents tried to conceive their first child. They had the same issues as many other couples that have career women as a mate have today: trying to decide if they can have children at that age; whether or not to try to do so; and then, how to pay for them. They finally got pregnant on Valentine’s Day, 1948. (If you calculate the expected date of confinement from my birthday of November 22, you’ll see that it comes out to Valentine’s Day).
From the beginning, there were deep problems with the pregnancy. My mother bled almost from the start. My parents went from hospital to hospital, trying to find a doctor who could save their unborn child. The doctors said that it was very unlikely this child would be born, because of the bleeding problems and fibroids. Eventually, the doctors said to Henry, my father: you will have to decide whether you want to have the wife whom you know or the child that you have not seen. In any case, the uterus must be removed either with child birth or before.
My parents knew that it was now or never. They pressed on, and as a couple, did not accept no for an answer. They finally ended up at The Los Angeles County General Hospital. At that time, the Hospital was beginning to experiment with, what would later be called, neonatal critical care medicine and high-risk pregnancy.
Much prayer went up for us from our family and dear friends. Relatives came out to Los Angeles from Texas in the late forties, some by airplane, which, except for
