    Message From the Author

This story is a love letter to the stories I grew up reading and watching on the big screen like; J.K. Rowling’s magical world of Harry Potter, Tolkien’s beautiful world of Lord of the Rings, William Goldman’s astonishing story of The Princess Bride, C.S Lewis’s gorgeous Chronicles of Narnia, and many more. This is a gift to my family, and friends as well. Most importantly, this is a gift from me to my seven-year-old self. From the bottom of my heart, I hope reading this book brings you so much joy, and takes you away to a world of pure imagination. Have fun!

    The Real World

    Prologue

Ahmed is a seven-year-old kid who loves hearing bedtime stories from his mother, and every night he would ask for the same story again. The story is called the unfinished story. The reason it is called like that is because the story stops at a certain event in the middle, and it does not have an ending to it, that’s why it is called the unfinished story. So every night after Ahmed’s mother is done narrating the story to him, Ahmed would go to sleep and he would dream every single night about the unfinished story, and every night in his dreams he would finish the story by him being the hero in it, every night he would have a different ending to the unfinished story.

    30 Years Later

Ahmed is all grown up now. He is thirty seven years old, and he is now married to his wife, Meera. He has his own seven-year-old child now, and his name is, Eisa. Unfortunately, Ahmed does not spend a lot of time with Eisa, because Ahmed is now a very successful CEO of a famous marketing company in the Middle East, so he spends most of his time busy, working. Of course, Ahmed now forgot the feeling of what it’s like being a child, and he forgot all about the unfinished story and his dreams. Funnily enough, it turned out that his son Eisa’s favorite bedtime story is the unfinished story. Just like his father, Eisa would dream about the story every night, and he would have a different ending as the hero of it. But one night in Eisa’s dream he got kidnapped by the villains of the story, and he couldn’t escape. Because of that Eisa couldn’t wake up from his sleep in real life! This made his parents freak out, so they immediately took him to the hospital, but the doctors said that thank God the boy didn’t pass away, and he’s not in a coma as well. His breathing, blood pressure, and everything is normal, but they couldn’t tell why is he not waking up. This made everyone even more worried! Late in that same night Ahmed sits by himself in the middle of the hospital’s corridors. He notices an old woman that’s been watching him for a while now, eventually the woman starts
