I sat and ate my lunch at my desk.

My office wasn't very big, but it was a lot nicer than a cubicle.

I worked on the top floor, which was where one would find some pretty swanky executive suites.

The executives worked on the top three floors of company headquarters.

The massive glass and steel main buildings were surrounded by spacious outdoor working and recreation areas.

My workplace was modern and exciting. The lower floors were designed like some sort of futuristic utopia that offered an ideal environment to work and play hard!

There was so much to do on campus during our breaks.

One could relax outdoors.

Or play some video games in the various arcades found outside the office spaces.

One could play tennis, basketball, and volleyball inside or outside. And there were plenty of places to shower and change one's sweaty clothes.

Yup, I worked at your typical tech company.

And I loved it.

I felt so accomplished, even though I knew the CEO and co-founder.

My coworkers sometimes judged me just a bit more harshly because of my ties to the boss man, but my work ethic was on par with theirs.

I did a damn good job, earned every paycheck.
