    Dancing with the Devil

    I don’t miss you.

I really don’t miss you at all.

I do miss what you stripped away from me:

    My childhood

    Innocence

    Sweet Dreams

    And the feeling of Free.

If I had missed you I would be missing the dance,

The Dance I Shared with the Devil,

The bets I had placed with Death.

    I don’t miss you,

I really don’t miss you at all.

    Empty Bed

It was supposed to be filled and coated in love.

But you allowed it to be shrouded in lust, layered in fear.

A gift from God, man to woman, woman to man, lover to lover.

Is now taken, worthless for it was a moment only for you.

It was supposed to be full of life, intimate and gentle.

With you, there was hate, hands held down, body in place.

For what was once so special and treasured,

Now feared, needing to be forgotten. Never will I see you the same.

    Smiles, whispers, I love you.

Now empty dread to see you, feel you. To feel at all. Nothing amounts to you.

    To what you did.
