About this ebook
Tales of R.L. Culkin Vol. 1 is a group of short stories from the mind of R.L. Culkin that take the fantasies of space, death, love, fear, and the unknown and showcase them in fast-paced stories that keep you engaged and interested.
R.L. Culkin
Born in the 1980s in Boulder, Colorado R.L. Culkin grew up with his little brother and single-parent mother until the early 1990s when his mother would marry his step-father and he would gain step-siblings and a new baby brother. Lucky enough to go to such a great school district was a blessing although he did not realize it at the time. In the late 1990s just before being excepted to a school for the gifted R.L. Culkin was in a car accident in which he obtained a head injury. He would soon struggle with his mental health and have a long battle with himself and the system before coming to terms with his injury and illness and excepting it for what is and going from there. R.L. Culkin always had a goal in life to create comic books but not able to draw how he wanted he decided to go to school and learn all he could about telling stories sequentially. He obtained an Associate's Degree in Animation and a Certificate in Videography but still was not satisfied with his artistic ability to draw. While on hiatus from learning to draw his very best he decided to write short stories that were for fun at first and then became a calling. Soon he would publish his first book Tales of R.L. Culkin Vol. 1 with more books waiting to be published in the series. At present time R.L. Culkin is in pursuit of his Bachelor's Degree in Illustration with a concentration in sequential art so that he can turn his short stories into comics and graphic novels. Some of R.L. Culkin's hobbies are BBQing, Camping, Charcutier, Kung Fu, and otherworldly studies among other things. My goal is to take readers away from their day-to-day if only for a moment and hopefully, they will enjoy the stories of R.L. Culkin as he does.

The Origins of Man
THE LIGHT OF GIA PANTA
In the afterlife, there is a world that reaches the end of the universe. In this world, there is every creature, being, sentient, computer, cyborg, demon, and entity of life that you have never even imagined. The forces of light have vast civilizations that lie in every corner of the universe but in between the patches of light there is dark and there is far more dark than light. In the dark, there are foes with power unimaginable to that of the common spirit. In the world of the dead, the world that they call Gia Panta. In this world, a person gets infinite lives like a cheat code in a video game. The only catch is that your spirit starts from your dwelling or your house which is in fact like a spiritual spawning point. There are no save points along the way and you have to re -t ravel that distance to get to where you died. You also have levels like in a video game which is mostly time -b ased . It is also based on what you did in life so if you had a craft, you did all of your life you start at a higher level than someone who did the same job for less time. You can learn new skills in Gia Panta but you will always have the skills you learned in life and you can grow the skills you had in life to potentials unimagin able.
There has been a war in Gia Panta since the light came to be. In this war, there are two kinds of soldiers good and bad unless you count the free souls, people that were granted the ability to travel between the realms of dark and light. For you see that soul from the light can go into the dark whenever they chose. Souls that dwell in the dark are vanquished to the dark for all time unless they can distinguish the light and Bring Gia Panta to the rules of before time when dark was all there was. The force that is free to travel back and forth has to follow the laws of both the light and the dark thus leaving some of the free souls to be barred from the light parts of Gia Panta. In this group of souls, there is a small group of warriors that have banded together for protection from the things of the dark. They are usually found in camp on the outskirts of the light but the Angel guard usually pushes them out to just beyond where the reaches of the light show.
The war has taken its toll on the light and they are running low on soldiers. Eldon the king of the light and the knower of all feels that he has no choice but to call in the leader of the free souls General Skull. An x military special force general became a free soul based on a wish granted to him by the celestial council. He and his soldiers have lived in the dark for millenniums and have faced almost everything the dark has to offer. They also have enchanted weapons that kill creatures of the dark faster than any weapon that the light has. To spread infinite light threw the dark they will need the help of General Skull.
A rider sits atop a white unicorn with a magenta hooded cloak and armor that shines in the light. In the shadow of the cloak, you can see a slight outline of a face and two white glowing eyes peering through the darkness. Soon all you see is the rider’s two eyes. The rider ventures further into the darkness. He comes across a fire in the distance. The rider approaches the fire with caution. He dismounts his unicorn and creeps closer to the camp. Soon he is in a hiding place that he can see from. He peers out to the fire and notices that he has walked into a camp of Borlocks pig-headed men creatures who feast on the souls of the light.
The rider carefully yet hastily goes back to his unicorn to flee but just as he gets there he is seen by a youngling. The youngling sounds the alarm. Fresh meat! Me like Fresh meat! get them me hungry.
yelled the youngling.
Soon there were three adult Borlocks on steeds of Cerberus hell hounds coming riding after the rider with the
