Acknowledgments
I dedicate this play to my father, Dr. John M. Davis (1928-2023). He was a first-rate physician, in part because he habitually reserved judgment regarding his fellow human beings—until, that is, the ascendancy of Donald Trump, whom Dad hated with a passion.
In an email to Donald Trump’s legal advisor John Eastman, Vice President Mike Pence’s chief counsel Gregory Jacob wrote that Eastman’s legal advice had functioned like a serpent in the ear of the president of the United States.
In a response to Jacob’s email, Eastman replied, You know [Trump]—once he gets something in his head, it is hard to get him to change course.

• Robert Engel, head of the President’s Secret Service Protective Detail
• Walt Nauta, President Donald Trump’s Valet

• The Grim Reaper
• Satan
• Pat Cipollone, White House Counsel
• Ivanka Trump, daughter of Donald Trump
