INTRODUCTION
Perhaps, one of the most controversial subjects Apostle Paul ever had to teach about in the scriptures, was his view on the role of women in ministry.
Several doctrines have been postulated from his perspective – with extreme views held by protagonists and antagonists.
But what was Paul really talking about?
Were his words understood; or misconstrued?

CHAPTER 1 – COMPLIANCE. OR MUTINY!
Perhaps, one of the most controversial subjects Apostle Paul ever had to teach about in the scriptures, was his view on the role of women in ministry.
Several doctrines have been postulated from his perspective – with extreme views held by protagonists and antagonists.
But what was Paul really talking about?
Were his words understood; or misconstrued?
More importantly, if Paul’s instructions on the role of women in ministry were emphatic; could we therefore infer that our Lord, Jesus, also had the same view?
These and many more, will we critically analyse now.
It is written:
"In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
