Mr. President,

It’s me again. I’m Emma if you don’t remember me or didn’t read the last note I sent. Anyway, this is mostly the beginning of what we’ve got from Dr. Wilson’s files and her recovered personal journal. Keep in mind that Dr. Wilson wrote down basically everything almost every day. We’ve decided to limit it to the parts pertinent to the Death of Superheroes and the subsequent Worst People in the World chapter of the whole thing. We aren’t withholding any information, as ordered everything important to what happened is here, but I think you could do without This Thursday, I ate ice cream on the couch. Or the like. Just keep it in mind when you get to those parts, and feel free to request the rest of it if you really want Dr. Wilson’s opinions about trivial things like that.

The girl is coming forward in areas of her education admirably. Though, unfortunately, she has not been nearly as adept at her combat training. Mommy, she often complains, Mommy, please don’t make me fire a gun again. It hurts my ears and my hands.

In situations like these, I like to remind young Cynthia of the electric shock that must be administered if she doesn’t follow instructions. She should not misbehave. I also warned how she did not want to be given a failing grade. And she already knows that anything below the best marks is considered a failure.

Cynthia will not be ready anytime soon. She is obviously faulty in multiple ways. Though she does well in remembering facts and rational reasoning, she will never be good enough to perform complicated missions, let alone hold her own in a fight. Aside from less complex activities or secretarial work, Cynthia will never be ready for something like this. She is to blame for all failings in the department and I would like to transfer her to another training area straight away.

Her sister, Wendy, is doing a much more praiseworthy job in all aspects of her training, not just the schooling. She will be molded into a perfect soldier. If not for Cynthia’s much more obvious failings, we would have a perfect team.

The mission will be carried out within the week. Don’t worry, Cynthia knows nothing about it and cannot interfere in any way…
