Melli Mello and Queen Bee
Melli the cat was playing by herself when the little girl came by and took the ‘fishing stick’ to play along.
Meow
, Melli said. Higher
.
Meow
, Melli said, me didz not catch the phisingstickz again!
until she stopped and just dropped herself at the bottom of the scratching tree barely breathing after what seemed to be ‘the final battlez with the phisingstickz’.
Hihihihihi
, the little girl said. Next time I am sure you will catch the fish, dear Melli. Well done!
she whispered petting the exhausted kitten while heading outside.
Melli Mello follows.
No, no, no! We had this discussion before. Little kitten girls always stay safe inside. There is no place for them outside
.
Meow
, Melli said. But only a littlez.
She gently insisted and then gave her the ‘sweet kitten lookz’ not even sweet little girls can resist.
Okay.
The little girl gave in. But only for a little while and only if you promise to stay next to me all the time. Do you?
Meow. Yes.
Melli Mello happily agrees.
The little cat and the little girl gently sneak out the glass door quietly so Mom does not see …
Here. We did it!
, the little girl whispers to Melli Melo. But please. Stay by my side at all times or else we get in real trouble
.
Meow
, Melli Melo said while immediately getting distracted by a little insect and chasing a small butterfly. Me catchez you, evil butterfly. Come to Melli Mello’s sharp little clawz
…
Of course the butterfly escaped.
Melli Mello! You promised! Please stop being distracted or we get inside at once
, the little girl firmly said in a slow voice so she does not wake Mom up. Please come and sit by my side at once!
The little paws with the sharp little claws
came quietly into the little girl’s direction and Melli Mello arranged herself as close as possible to the little girl’s legs, while both were enjoying the peaceful Sunday afternoon’s sun beams. Soon enough the two little girls were having what Granny Lenny would call a very consistent Sunday nap
.
Until….
THE INCIDENT
What iz this?
Melli Mello was awaken by this very irritating sound and something annoying her little nose.
Iz the feathery toy outsidez???, Melli Mello was wondering? She tried to take a good look but she was dizzy and the Sunday sun was still there …
What is this?
, she wanted to know while already chasing ‘the little weird mini creature with wingz’. As if in a dream she soon enough found herself on the terrace. Then up on the roof, where there was an incredible buzzing!
There is no time to call for Super Piersicuta Kitten Paw-lice. This iz a matter of Melli Mello the Detective!
, Melli Mello said to herself while jumping on the pillar ‘like a pantherz’ and climbing it up to the buzzing source. Then something dropped on her eye and nose and ran quietly straight to her mouth ...
Mmmmmm. This iz sooo tasty and sweet
, Melli Mello said with enchantment while putting the paw straight in the beehive and letting so much of their precious nectar run free.
Oooouuuuuuuuuuuch!
, Melli Mello wanted to scream but she couldn’t as her mouth was now full. Ooouch!
She jumped down fast from the roof to the terrace and down again thus waking mom and dad up.
Meeeeoooowwwwwwww!
she screamed up and down…
What’s going on?
, sleepy Mom and Dad were asking while out amazed by the meowing. What is baby Melli Mello doing outside?
, they asked …
So many questions the now scared little girl could not answer.
Grab the transporter and a few clothes and let’s call Doctor Oana! Let’s hope she is still at the cabinet
.
The two parents grabbed the clothes, the transporter, the furry child, the two legged child and off they went to ...
THE VET
The little girl was left behind the cabinet’s door full of worry, guilt and sadness but most of all with a lot of hope her little furry sister will be all right. Long minutes pass when the door opens and a kind face approaches…
So, you thought of letting her harvest some honey, I suppose
, Doctor Oana says with her kind laughter Well, next time think twice when you want to let her out …
But, Doctor Oana, she asked so much!
, the little girl said with teary eyes.
Well, well … nice little girls should never insist when they get a no and this we know too well. I guess it is your duty to learn how to say no to baby Mello, so she does not get in trouble anymore, and I hope you have learnt your lesson well!
She very much did.
What happened to you, baby Melli Melo?
, the little girl asked.
"Gloadbladgoejfdfkds", Melli Mello was trying to reply.
Please keep her in a quiet place with plenty of water until the medicine takes effect and her tongue is not so swollen from the bee sting
, were the doctor’s last recommendations while smiling to the two little girls and hovering her finger in her now famous ‘Never again this. Do we have an agreement?’-gesture.
And yes … in her heart … the little girl had already decided.
THE MORAL
Days went by and the two little girls were playing again nicely in the house having their ‘competitionz with the phisingstickz’ as if nothing had happened. Both of them were playing inside and when the little girl had to leave the house, she always returned with something ‘nice and interesting’ for her furry baby sister: a nice flower to sniff, a strange bug to look at and then release in the garden…or one of the leaves from Granny Lenny’s garden. Most of the times Melli Mello was playing alone with the many toys and when the time came she was waiting at the window for her elderly human sister to return from school.
Until…
What waz that?
Melli Mello got so scared when sitting quietly at the window.
How dared you? You ungrateful little cat?
The bee was buzzing angrily on the other side of the window. Don’t you know how hard all of us have to work to make the sweet honey to feed our children?"
The bee was buzzing left and right in front of Melli Mello who could not understand.
What didz I do?
, Melli Mello wanted to know.
You destroyed our home with your paw! You destroyed our entire dining room! One of our soldiers gave his life by stinging you to protect us so you go away and leave us alone. Do you know how much wax we have to produce to repair the damage YOU have done?
Me iz soo sorry ...!
Melli Mello started crying.
Well … now … no need to cry … but didn’t your mom teach you manners?
I have never met my mother
, Melli Mello sighed The nice girl found me and took me to her home … now she is my sister …
For a moment there the Queen bee was impressed with the little kitten’s story and stopped her hollering. She was buzzing there, beautifully suspended in the sun beam and for a moment Melli Mello realized what a magical creature was laying in front of her … her crown was glittering in the sun beam but her entire being was also made of light.
I am very sorry, your Meowjesty
. Melli Mello bowed gently.
"Well, now ... no more need for sorrow. We will repair our nest by the end of the week and when you want a little bit of honey, I can send one of my subjects with few little drops.
Only a few
, Melli Mello dared to whisper. Doctorz Oana says, too much it is not good for the kitten stomach.
Days have passed and the beehive grew.
Dad isolated the part of the terrace so the Queen can take care of her subjects undisturbed and no more accidents to ever take place.
Sometimes a little bee comes in the sunbeam next to Melli Mello’s window and buzzes while collecting the flower pollen on her little legs.
Melli Mello still thinks it is the lady Bee Queen and always bows, saying: "Your Meowjesty!"
The other bees take turns to the flowerpots always buzzing away giggling.
THE END
Melli Mello și Regina Albină
Pisicuța Melli se juca singurică când fetița a venit și a luat bățul de pescuit
pentru a se juca și ea.
- Miau, a spus Melli. Mai sus. Miau, a spus Melli din nou, iar nu am prins bățul de pescuit! până s-a oprit și s-a lăsat jos, la baza sisalului, abia respirând după ceea ce părea a fi ultima bătălie cu bățul de pescuit
.
- Hihihihi, a râs fetița.
- Miau, a spus Melli. Dar numai puțin. Ea a insistat ușor și apoi i-a aruncat privirea aceea galeșă și nevinovată, la care nici măcar fetițele nu pot rezista
.
- Bine. Fetița a cedat. Dar numai
