What is this that I hold in my hand?
A conquest of my own making?
An affection that speaks to my heart?
No, there is no meaning in such things.

What I have found has given me complete control over life.
One uttered syllable from the tip of my lips is a death sentence.
All lives limited to my conviction will suffer because of what I possess.

At birth, my disfigurement granted me a name with contents that haunted my steps and brought me before the feet of darkness.
In exchange for my vengeance, I fulfilled its will and found what lies beneath the soul.
Others willing to snatch away this gift of mine have labeled me.

The shouts from my father still wake me.
I was cursed. A defect in my birthing crumbled the image of my family to the kingdom.
My eyes are split at the pupils.
The prophets of these lands foretold of a harrowing omen from the petty goddess they serve, Creia, the goddess of love and creation. From her scriptures, the prophecy consists of wickedness that will kill the king and reign on the throne with its sight. Once in power, the kingdom will fall to destruction.
