    INTRODUCTION

This story is largely based on my experience with Gorean Roleplay and also inspired by other elements of Medieval history and knowledge that I’ve gained in childhood interest on this subject. I figured I would blend elements of some of these stories and past experience with Gorean roleplay to create a short story I’ve used the town of Tarnburg but the universe and characters will be completely of their own and this story will not be in the Gorean universe it is only an inspiration for this creation.

    Chapter 1: Tarnburg

An island called Dnoces which houses several small villages had a small fairy or ship which made a grand passage to the mainland of Tarnburg across the causeway of water the town of Tarnburg lay not far from the coast surrounded by a forest. A man by the name of Naen was a young fisherman thirteen years of age who grew tired of living an average life. Naen’s father had left when he was born his mother raised him; two of his siblings had not made it out of childhood and his eldest sibling died in a raid.  Naen had a stronger build than most young men his age; everyone seemed to know his destiny was greater than that of a mere fisherman. Among the children he was a leader. Naen’s light eyes, brown skin and dark hair seemed to make him unique as most of the villagers were pale or dark. Naen felt his mother restricted him; he knew she would not approve of him leaving the village but one day when the dock workers were unloading supplies he snuck into one of the crates of fish being sent to Tarnburg.

Naen had caught one of the fishermen keeping watch off guard when he had a call from nature. Naen was loaded unknowingly onto the ship going to Tarnburg inside a box of fish. Naen wanted to yell out yuck but he knew if he made a noise he would be spotted. Naen remained silent as the box was loaded onto the ship a thump and the sound of water could be heard. He heard men talking in the background but after moments he could hear the water moving and the boat pulling. The crew chattered about the fish markets and that it was high tide on the causeway. After a short boat ride across the causeway the boat pulled up to the docks on the mainland of Tarnburg the fish crates were unloaded and put onto a horse and carriage. As the carriage and horse pulled forward Naen stowed out in the box of fish being taken into the town of Tarnburg moving from the shore
