    HE’s MAD AGAIN

    Mommy why is Daddy so mad at you Nichole whispered into her mother’s ear, rocking her head back and forth as her mother lay on the floor. The slap marks across her mother’s face and the blood streaming down her nose resulted from her father punching her mother’s face in anger.

    Just be still now Mommy, and Daddy will leave you alone, shhhhhh… my dear Mommy, Nichole sang quietly in her mother’s ear comforting her as her father tore through the house, slamming doors and screaming that no-one ever listens to him.

    Jesus Loves the Little Children, Nichole quietly said into her mother’s ear as her 7-year-old hands stroked her mother’s hair and rocked her mother like a baby.

    All the Children of the World… even the mommies, Nichole sang quietly adding her own words to comfort her mother.
