The Portait
The moonlight dances on the once white canvas. The Moon goddess missed how the white canvas light up when the silver beams touched it. Now it is filled with black paint and the face of a child with sad eyes. A child that lost its childhood due to war, a war that turned the Covens against each other. A war that would ruin the world that she hold so dear. But she could do nothing than let her light shine on the portrait, and be a beacon of hope.
Thin air
The night was drowning in and with that also came the fog. The thick fog that made the world around the small little cottage vanish. Not that it mattered much because when the fog starts to lift. The rest of the village will return Anya looked outside the window looking full wonder towards the thick mist. The ear deafening silence it brought with it. There was no sound of crickets or night birds. No barking of dogs, no hissy fights between cats. Not even the whispers of the wind broke through the thickness of the mist. As if it swallowed up all the sounds. Anya looked at her little brother who slept next her in peace. Not aware of the strangeness of the night. Maybe it was nothing, and tomorrow the world would be full of bright colors, all the sounds would be back. The world would go back to normal. Anya lay down and fall a sleep. The next morning she was woken up by her mother's scream. Never in her life she heard her mother scream like that. Anya jumped out of bed and run towards her mother, and then saw why her mother was screaming. The whole village was gone, vanished without a trace. For years everyone sourced for them but never seen again.

The day turned back into night and still the pump was standing there. It was not picked up or was moved in the slightest. It was still standing there when the sun
