    DEDICATION

To my dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ —

    for the price you paid for us all;

    To the wonderful Father —

    for Your great love towards us in sending Your only Son;

To the precious Holy Spirit —

for Your fellowship, wisdom and guidance,

and Your power to do exploits for the Kingdom.

    To my dear wife, Lisa—

For your love, support, prayers and endurance

from the very beginning and throughout our lives and ministry.

To my sons, Micheal, Joshua and Benjamin—

For the joy that you have brought to my life

as you serve the Lord and grow in His ways.

To my comrade in the faith, Koni Oberle,

and many other friends and co-laborers in the nations—

For your friendship, love and support of Gospel.

    To my Mom—

    For introducing Jesus to me

and your prayer that kept me throughout the years.

    To my Dad—

who went home to be with the Lord on August 21, 2020...

For his blessing over my life and ministry:

"Vincent, all I ask is that whatever you do,

do it with all your heart and always remain true to yourself—be real."

    From the Author

The nations are desperate for God, one that is supernatural and powerful, yet personal. While we may read of the mighty outpourings and sovereign moves of the God in the past, I believe we can experience revival right here and right now because the Holy Spirit moves in response to repentant, yielded and hungry hearts. Revival is a personal choice to turn back to God with the whole heart, in full surrender.  God is after our hearts.

In a time when so many books have been written on methods and strategies, there is one effective way for the growth and vitality of the Church—the Presence and power of the Holy Spirit and hearts that are surrendered to Him. The Holy Spirit transforms and empowers us as we worship and pursue Him in Spirit and in Truth. The Lord desires to do a work within us that results in an outward flow of His power in order to bring the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world.

Revivals come and go, but true revival never ends when we choose to stir ourselves to love and pursue Him; when we keep our relationship alive to knowing this wonderful God and Savior. I believe we can experience revival right here and right now, because the Holy Spirit moves in response to yielded and hungry hearts.

Revival fire begins with a spiritual hunger for more of Him and thirst for more of His Spirit and is characterized by a deep conviction to return to God’s ways—to love Him, once again, with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love others as He has loved us. This is a work of the Spirit in us for He loves us too much to leave us the way we are. He transforms us in His likeness through His Word and as we walk in the Spirit we manifest His goodness and impact others. Revival is fueled through impartation, renewed vision and biblical unity. May your Kingdom vision be rekindled and grow. And may you hear the cry of the harvest and obey His call to go when He asks, Who will go for Me? May our hearts be revived to support His righteous cause and to serve in God’s Kingdom.

I pray that your hunger for God will be stirred and that the fires of revival would burn in your heart as you turn to God in full surrender. That you will choose to pursue Him, no matter what the cost!

Originating from South Africa, Vincent Skinner received a call from God to preach the Gospel at the age of twelve. His hunger for God resulted in personal encounters with the Holy Spirit and an anointing that changes lives. He established World Revival Ministries in 1994.

For over three decades, Vincent has been preaching the Gospel in the nations of the world. His ministry is fueled by his love for the Lord and His righteous cause—to reach the nations with the Gospel of salvation. He ministers in the power of God and the prophetic gifts of the Holy Spirit, with signs and wonders following the preaching of the Word of God.

Vincent’s call is to equip the Church for the work of ministry through local church revivals, conferences, ministry schools and Gospel outreaches, stirring revival wherever he goes. He values building relationships with local pastors and churches around the world—USA, Germany and Europe, Australia, Central and South America, and more.

Vincent and his wife Lisa live in the USA. They are blessed with three wonderful sons and grandchildren.

"H ype and pretension has lost much of its allure for me. I long for authentic expressions of Christianity. I think most of us are looking for genuine servant hearted leaders to be consistent examples for the church. Vincent Skinner is someone like that. He lives what he preaches and demonstrates his faith by signs that consistently follow his ministry. His unassuming manner in life and his confidence while ministering both leave the impression of the Spirit of Jesus."

Pastor K. Oberle, Weinberg-Gemeinde Amberg, Germany

"I have traveled and worked with Vincent and Lisa in the nations, and knowing their hearts, I can tell you this is not just another ministry, they reflect the ministry of Jesus with a passion for winning the lost as the emphasis, through the manifestation of God’s presence in the revival meetings."

Pastor T. S. Padley, Belo Horizonte, Brazil

    Chapter 1

    Heart of Revival

Oh, that the fires of Revival would burn...

And men’s hearts would turn to God in full surrender !

For over thirty years of ministry, I have witnessed lives that have been touched and changed by the transforming Word of God and power of the Holy Spirit. There is a desperate cry in the hearts of mankind for the true and living God to be made known, to be manifest—Jesus Christ, the hope of salvation, healing and deliverance.

The one thing I will say out of all my experience throughout the years is—God is after our hearts! He wants us fully—spirit, soul and body. He wants to be the center of our lives; our all in all. We will become like Him if we surrender all to Him. The Holy Spirit transforms and empowers us as we worship and pursue Him in Spirit and in Truth.

The Lord desires to do a work within us that results in an outward flow of His power in order to bring the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. The power is not of us, it is the treasure that is within our earthen vessels. It is His ability and power working in us and through us to accomplish the works prepared for us. However, it is essential that we cultivate our relationship with God, through fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

As we abide in His Word, He always leads us in the knowledge of the Truth—in the revelation of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. The Holy Spirit transforms us as we pursue Him in Truth. Out of our relationship with Him, His Kingdom will come and His will be done on the earth, for His own glory.

One day, we will stand before Him and give an account of our lives. The Father desires to see the image of His Son—His nature and character—forged in us and reflecting from us. In reference to what Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-27, though we may have healed the sick, cast out demons or even raised the dead, the eternal value of our works as well as our reward is determined by our heart motives—our love for Him and others. The Lord is not looking for super-stars that shine brightly for a moment, then quickly burn out, but for those who are faithful and will endure until He returns—living sacrifices that put no confidence in the flesh, but glory in Christ Jesus.

"For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit,

rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh." (Philippians 3:3)

He is looking for those who will say, Not my will, but Your will be done, O God. John the Baptist declared,He must increase, but I must decrease, as he beheld the Lamb of God, John 3:30. The Apostle Paul considered neither fame, fortune nor anything else to be counted worthy compared to knowing Him—pressing on towards the high prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus, Philippians 3:7-14.

Revivals come and go, but true revival never ends when we choose to stir ourselves to love and pursue Him; this wonderful God and Savior.

And may you hear the cry of the harvest and obey His call to go when He asks, "Who will go for Me?" May our hearts be revived to support His righteous cause and to serve in God’s Kingdom. Come, Holy Spirit and fill us, lead us and revive us—renew our hearts again !

    Chapter 2

    Revival Is Now !

Through the years of ministry, I have heard believers reminisce of the Revivals of the past—how God moved in the days gone by. And then I meet those that dream and hope for the Revival that is yet to come. Some have chased the carrot of revival and their hope is deferred and they’ve lost their fire. I do believe that we will be a part of a great revival that will hit the planet as this age comes to a close. The greatest harvest of souls will come in just before the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet, the manifest presence of God is available to set our own hearts ablaze.

I have personally witnessed pockets of revival in various places as I’ve ministered for over three decades. From my experience, revival happens when people turn their hearts to God in full surrender. I believe we can experience revival right here and right now because the Holy Spirit moves in response to repentance, to those who hunger and thirst for Him.

Revival will begin and be sustainable if we have the Word of God and His Spirit working together in our lives. The Bible gives us a model of revival in the Book of Acts. When the Word of God is preached in the power of the Holy Spirit—the lost are saved, the sick are healed and the bound are delivered. There is a sense of awe and reverential fear of the Lord with signs, wonders following. A culture of revival is characterized by seeking the Lord, earnest prayer and repentance, returning to His Word and His Ways. We must humble ourselves and return to God, our hearts fully surrendered to His will.

    — Faith is Now! —

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,

the evidence of things not seen."  Hebrews 11:1

The Bible declares to us in Hebrews 1:1, Now faith is... Since Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, Hebrews 13:8, then the touch of God is available for us right NOW! Just as it was for the disciples of the early Church, the Lord has never changed. His love, His Word and His power remain the same. They are real and they are available to us. He will heal the sick, the broken-hearted and deliver the captive, Luke 4:18. Just as He did during His earthly ministry, it is now available and accessible to us through faith. Only believe, Jesus said in Luke 8:50, Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well. That’s all that is required to see the works of God. Amen!

During an open-air crusade in the South African bush, a woman, whose legs were swollen, came forward to the platform. She testified that during the previous night’s meeting, her blind eye had been opened! Now, her faith was really kindled as she declared, My legs are swollen, but if God can give me my sight, then He can heal my legs too...Tonight!

This dear lady heard the Word of God that night and mixed it with her faith. She got a revelation that God was present and His power was available to heal her. And so, as I prayed and laid hands on her, in that moment, the power of God flowed into her body—the swelling went down in both legs! She believed, received and stepped right into her miracle—her faith had made her whole! With great joy, she went walking and leaping and praising God for what He had done for her.  All glory to God!

God will move in your life right NOW, because He is moved by your faith. He responds to your faith towards Him. He will heal your body, heal your broken-heart and set you free. Turn your life around—renounce doubt and unbelief. Break fellowship with the lies of the enemy and believe the Truth—Jesus Christ is your Healer—receive His healing touch by faith right now!

    — Believe & Agree —

In Brazil, I prayed for a man, who had just come out of prison. This gang leader—tall, rough and covered with tattoos—arrived at the church at the end of the service. He walked down to the altar and stood in front of me. As I looked up into his face, I asked him this simple question, What do you want the Lord to do for you? He confessed his drug addiction and declared that he wanted to be set free. I felt prompted to tell him, If you will surrender your life to Jesus Christ and serve Him with all your heart, God will set you free! He gazed down at me for a long moment, then with one word, he replied—" YES!" And suddenly, this tough guy doubled right over, as if he was punched into the stomach, and crumpled to the floor. It was very strange sight indeed. But by the time he recovered and stood to his feet, a miracle had taken place—God had set him free from drug addiction!

This man simply believed and agreed with the Lord’s word to him and his faith touched the heart of God. The Holy Spirit flowed in power and his life was radically changed forever. I was told, at a later date, that he went back to the gang to testify and tell them that they would serve the Lord from that point forward. What a wonderful testimony of God’s redeeming power!

    — Faith In Action —

Faith acts upon His Word. The Lord responds to faith. In Hebrews 11:6, the Apostle Paul reminds us that, ...without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. So faith is the master key that unlocks God’s heart. Faith pleases Him. He rewards those who diligently seek Him. And faith is action, not just words. It is an active response to the Word of God—for He is who He says He is, and He will do what He says He will do.

James 2:26 tells us, For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. With our heart we believe,  with our mouth we will speak and with our actions the glory of God is manifest. This is how we put our faith to work: we act out what we believe. This produces fruit. A corresponding action or response from the heart is required to see effectual
