He had to help her.
She moved in him a fierce need to protect her and a passion for her body.
She riled in him strange sensations, and when she begged him for more, he should have refused.
Miranda Knight would change Kyle's life forever. She'd awaken in him a ferocious hunger and passion, explaining his inability to fit in as a human.
Kyle was a shifter, a wolf, and the Alpha Miranda had been searching for.

An adult paranormal love story.

BIO: My name is Ethan Radcliff and I've been writing since I was a kid. I love creating and tried my hand at art, not bad, but not good enough. A guy's gotta eat. Through high school, I wrote erotic stories, kept them in a notebook and let a few girlfriends read them. I played football, baseball and ice hockey, but my brain never stopped thinking of sex. I guess most guys think about it all the time. I decided to put my thoughts into prose. I had been on face book for a while and never did anything interesting until I started to see all the writers. What really caught my attention were the poets, especially some of the ones posting erotic prose. I was intrigued, men who were writing erotic romance, I knew it was time to get out the old notebook and throw on some poetry. I was surprised at the response. I’ve often been asked what inspires my writing. Sometimes it’s a photograph, a sunset or an attractive woman. The jiggle of a full ass or heavy breasts will set my mind in motion. Sometimes, out of nowhere, an idea will come to mind. I record and write down my thoughts constantly. I want to thank Bitten Press and the two lovely ladies who run it for encouraging me to go for it and I did. I also need to thank a very patient and lovely friend Kendall Blackburn Barnett who is my PA and putting up with my antics. I want to thank all the wonderful people who read what I write. And the lovely ladies who help get the word out there about my writing. As you know, I’m an elusive fellow, smiles, perhaps that’s part of my charm. Who knows what the future holds? My first short story is The Taming of Molly Jenkins. It’s hot. Is it based on personal experience? Don't we all pull from real life? The next short story is The Wait, Brit’s undoing...that I hope you'll enjoy. Since those early works, many more have evolved including a paranormal series, Desires of Blood, DOM, The Collaring of Molly Jenkins and my first novel A Man of Honor. Two thousand and sixteen brings more full-length novels and I will always venture into new erotic genres. Thank you for listening and to all those who are enjoying my poetry, thank you. Midnight Moon - Ethan Radcliff
Chapter One
The Northern Woods of Canada
Run, run, faster, faster, her heart felt like it would burst in her chest. Ouch, underbrush, prickly vines, broken branches, run! Her mind was reeling. She had to find safety.
Miranda Knight ran as fast as her legs could carry her, never once looking back. She heard the gunfire, and her heart leaped in her chest. She listened to the dogs and bloodhounds running behind her, following her; she prayed that they would not catch up to her. Hold on, her frazzled brain screamed; hold on, and don’t do anything stupid! Keep running; don’t look back, she thought as her legs ached from the speed of her run.
Miranda was running out of steam. When the bullet hit her shoulder, she felt no pain, just a stinging sensation. The pain spread through her quickly. As she ran, the pain became blinding, and her eyes were unable to focus.
As she ran, she began to lose vital blood, and the wound would bring her down, enabling the hunters to kill her. Then, once she was dead, her body would return to its normal state: a twenty-three-year-old woman, not the lithe gray wolf they were chasing. Watching the transition of her dead body would freak them out and expose what she was, opening a damn can of worms.
She had to run; she couldn’t let the crazed hunters catch her. It meant the survival of her entire race.
Hours before, she was with a few friends, dining in a restaurant. The atmosphere was peaceful and cordial. The conversation centered on the upcoming full moon and the season upon them.
Our human counterparts will never understand what the shifter experiences,
Miranda said, sipping her coffee. When I was a child, my parents tried so hard to stifle my ability to alter my human appearance. They didn’t want me to shift until I was old enough to control the animal within me.
The handsome middle-aged man named Craig, who sat across from her, shook his head in agreement. "My mother wasn’t a shifter and was afraid of me when I hit the age of shifter maturation. I was seventeen, older than most shifters. Most of my friends were able to change by the time they were fourteen. I guess I was a late bloomer.
My parents divorced because my mother couldn’t deal with the whole werewolf thing. Nor did she understand my attraction to both sexes. In our world, many of us have two mates and two lovers. It’s the nature of the beast, he grinned as he looked at the beautiful woman on his right and the devastatingly handsome man on his left.
However, creating an offspring is always the female’s responsibility, and sometimes it does take two males." The beautiful woman seductively smiled, reaching for both their hands.
All Miranda could do was sigh. Already in her twenties, she’d yet to experience the mating call. And would gladly take two mates if that was her calling. Watching her friends display their affection for one another riled her senses. The three of them were so happy and so damn attracted to one another. She wondered what it was like to be them.
Miranda wasn’t a virgin. Far from it, but the males she’d been with were human. Most of the males in her pack left her cold. There wasn’t one she could point to and say, yup, that’s him. Instead, she fucked her way through the human world, and never once did any human seed take root.
She was thankful she was immune to all human STDs, and she also realized that human semen did not affect her reproduction system. The only way she’d ever have young was with a male of her species.
But all Miranda wanted was love, and she feared her time was running out.
Now, all she had to do was to keep going and to find the strength to continue. Her mind screamed, keep running. Her keen eyesight searched through the trees and brush as she ran. The pain in her shoulder began to throb, soon becoming unbearable.
Please, she prayed, help me get to safety. Miranda was fading fast.
She’d gotten herself into messes before, but this situation was dire. She’d decided to go hiking in the woods and crossed the Canadian border. This wasn’t her first time hiking in the Northern woods of Canada. She loved the serenity and openness of the area. She could shift and run free. Especially in the winter, through the snow.
However, she’d found herself in an Inn with a bunch of rowdy drunks who had one idea on their minds, and that was to fuck her. Once shifted, she could easily fight them off, but that would be dangerous. So, she decided to flee, now running for her life.
Chapter Two
Kyle Regan knew the wooded area behind his cabin like the back of his hand, all thirty acres. He’d come up for the weekend to rest after another disastrous relationship had ended. Another broken heart, Christ, Kathy led him to believe he’d left a friggin trail of them the last few years.
He had no luck with women, especially a woman like Kathy, who, even though she was beautiful, was insecure and constantly needed reassurance from him about his feelings. He really thought she was the one. He was so close, and then his feelings dissipated as she clung to him, asking him to give her what he realized he couldn’t: his love. This breakup was a repeat of what had happened with all of the women he’d dated.
Kyle was starting to believe he’d never meet that special someone. He also thought he was cold-hearted, and at the moment, his future looked bleak. Would he ever marry and have a family? All that he wanted was to fall in love. He wondered why it was such a challenging task.
Tonight, he was exhausted and went out to get wood for his stove when he heard the shots. Damn, he thought, frigging hunters. They were way too close, and now he’d have to put in a complaint to the Parks Commission tomorrow. Bastards were on his land, and it wasn’t even hunting season. Only then, when the season began, did he allow permits and a small number of hunters on his land.
He stood by his woodpile and looked up. The sky was starless and the moon full. He shook his head; people did crazy things when there was a full moon.
Kyle had driven for hours until he reached his cabin in the mountains. He needed a little R and R because being a New York City EMT had worn him out. He needed a rest from all the
