The Big Elvis Quiz Volume One, from the author of Elvis Presley: Stories Behind the Songs, offers a variety of questions to test the knowledge of new and casual fans, as well as lifelong followers of The King.

The quiz begins with questions from Elvis’ childhood and also tests the reader’s knowledge on Elvis’ parents, The King’s early recordings, Colonel Parker, Graceland as well as the big hits and early movies.

The book ends in 1962 with two additional mixed quizzes tackling other highlights from Elvis’ career.

Matt Shepherd

Matt Shepherd has presented several shows over the years for BBC Local Radio on Elvis Presley, including more than 50 with his good friend Freddy Zapp on BBC Radio Cornwall. Matt has been an Elvis fan for more than 30 years and has amassed a huge collection of Elvis information and hundreds of records over the years. He has written Elvis related articles for the BBC News website and Elvis publications. His has also interviewed many of Elvis’ friends over the last few decades including Jerry Schilling, George Klein, Larry Gellar and the late Joe Esposito. He is the author of Elvis Presley Stories behind the Songs (Volumes 1 and 2).

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Matt Shepherd first discovered Elvis as an eight-year-old and has been a mad fan ever since. He grew up in Cornwall and has worked for BBC Radio Cornwall for 29 years.

Matt has compiled numerous reports on Elvis for BBC local and national radio, and has also written articles on Elvis for Yours Retro and Vintage Rock magazines. He also did voice-over work for Elvis’s best friend, Joe Esposito, to promote his books.

Matt is the author of the two-volume Elvis Presley: Stories Behind the Songs. Both volumes are still available from various sites, including Amazon, Bol.com, Waterstones and Barnes & Noble.

Matt is a proud dad to Charlie.
