The advertisement said that I could Earn $600 for just two hours of work. Six hundred dollars, was a full month's rent in my crappy apartment. I had worked thirty hours or more every week in school and at my part time job to save up enough money to afford the cost of living in this place. How long would it usually take me to earn six hundred dollars? There were no jobs on campus that paid well enough, except maybe life-guarding during the summer, but then I'd have to work all year round if I wanted to make enough money, and unfortunately with life-guarding, that just wasn't possible. Plus, what if there was an emergency that I'd have to deal with? Being a full time student, a gymnastics athlete, and working part-time, I was stressed out pretty much all the time, and didn't know why I bothered going to school at all anymore. The economy had shown me that my generation was basically screwed when it came to earning money.

I tore the phone number from the ad on the message board in the quad and continued my stroll to math class. The weather was beautiful as the sun set over the horizon. The leaves beginning to turn brown, and a slight breeze had a tinge of fall in the air.

As I walked towards the math building, I couldn't shake the thought of the ad out of my head. I wondered what kind of job would pay that much money for just two hours of work. Was it some kind of scam, or something illegal?

I couldn't stop thinking about the ad during math class. What could I possibly have to do for two hours to earn that much money? It had to be some kind of scam, but the desperation for cash was gnawing away at my rational thoughts. I needed to pay for my textbooks, groceries, rent, and on top of that, I wanted to have a little fun every once in a while.

After class, I decided to call the number on the torn piece of paper. A man with a deep, gruff voice answered the phone. Doctor Nut here. How can I assist you?

I hesitated for a moment. Doctor Nut? What kind of name was that? But the thought of earning $600 for just two hours of work was too tempting to ignore. I saw your ad on the message board. I'm interested in the job, I said, trying to sound confident.

Ah, yes. Excellent. Can you come to my office tomorrow at noon? Doctor Nut replied.

I agreed and hung up the phone, feeling a mixture of excitement and apprehension. Who was this Doctor Nut? What kind of job was this? I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

The next day, I arrived at the address Doctor Nut had given me. The building was small and old and sat in the middle of an otherwise empty lot on the outskirts of town. When I pulled in front, it took me a moment
