About this ebook

God has been trying to reach humans for thousands of years but with limited success.
Ever since Cain walked away from God to forge his own godless society and a culture void of moral and spiritual values, the voice of God has only been heard by a handful of people committed to following His will.
Alex Fuleki explores the complicated relationship humanity has with God in this book, observing that most of us look to Him in the midst of some kind of local or global disaster beyond our control.
It is only then that we demand the protective, saving, healing, and restorative power of the Lord—and if we don’t receive an immediate response, we conclude that God does not listen and is not interested in us.
The truth, however, is that the Lord has certain requirements that must be met before He looks upon us with favor. He is the one who dictates when, how, and what to communicate.
Find out why God is the most efficient, most precise, and clearest communicator who reveals Himself to every generation in every nation and in every language.

    Conclusion

    Introduction

Hello! This is God speaking, can you hear me? The answer is silence. God has been trying to reach humans for centuries, for millennia, but with limited success. Since Cain walked away from God to forge his own godless society and a culture void of moral and spiritual values, the voice of God was only been heard by those who humbly and sincerely committed themselves to follow His will.

The great majority of humankind lived, and still live, in spiritual darkness and only reach out to God when some kind of local or global disaster is beyond their ability to control. Then humans, in utter desperation, demand the protective, saving, healing, and restorative power of God. In such occasions, one hears humans cry out, Hello, this is man speaking. God, can you hear me? And the much anticipated answer is a heart-wrenching and disappointing silence. This moment of negative spiritual experience has led humans to conclude that God is not interested in communicating with humans. He does not listen, and He is not interested in meeting human needs in the least. This is human reasoning. God’s side is different in that He has a high standard of spiritual requirements that must be met before He would respond to human needs. He is the One who dictates when, how, and what to communicate. For this reason, one of humanity’s greatest needs is to understand God’s way of communication.

God has been speaking with His creation in His own way and style from the moment of creation until today in many and various ways (Heb. 1:1), and we have evidence He will continue to do so not only in this world but in the world to come. What humanity’s role is in this marvelous spiritual relationship is to secure God’s unchangeable conditions so this communication is not only possible but continuous for every man’s spiritual benefits.

Humans have always lived in isolation from heavenly realities and have made sure that God’s attempts to communicate with them will not take place. In the past six thousand years, during a relatively quiet global environment, an ideal state existed to hear the voice of God since God requires human silence when He speaks (Psalm 46:10), so humans had to make an extra effort not to hear it. The last two hundred years, however, show that major changes have taken place and not listening or hearing God’s voice has become more difficult.

The first major change started with the industrial revolution in the nineteenth century. Society was inundated with increasing levels of noise by various machines and the popular combustion engine. The world was suddenly a noisy place. Later, we heard the deafening sirens of ambulances, fire trucks, and police cars. All these noises placed a heavy pressure on human hearing.

Human hearing was further taxed by jet airplanes, sonic booms, loud motorcycles, loud mufflers, loud music, and the roaring of sport fans. Finally, the weekend came, and humans were looking for some peace, quiet, and much-anticipated sleep but were rudely interrupted by their neighbor’s loud lawn mower.

Humans go to church where they are greeted by contemporary worship entirely dominated by self-promoting singers who are competing to see who can hold the highest note the longest and who can produce the most phony facial expressions of pain and joy. At the end of the day, humans go to bed exhausted and wake up exhausted, and the noise cycle starts again.

Further hindering normal hearing are the intangible aspects, or the psychological factors of fear, anxiety, and uncertainty, which make humans preoccupied with tension. The threat of nuclear annihilation by mentally unstable world leaders and scientists often reminds us of a loose comet or asteroid hitting our earth, ending our life as we know it.

The increasing number and intensity of irregular weather patterns promotes additional anxiety, and humans become too busy to rebuild their losses after devastating natural disasters. Add to these humans’ self-destructive tendencies by the use of recreational as well as medicinal drugs that in essence shut down the ability to hear and listen to any voice, much less a call from God.

The next development hindering human hearning is increased knowledge. We are told that in the last days knowledge shall increase (Dan. 12:4). In the last fifty years, knowledge has increased to the point where humans have declared themselves gods who are the masters of their own destiny. They are quite confident that they are on the verge of achieving immortality. Science gave them the assurance of total independence, no longer needing any help or call from God.

The next major change was the rapid development and global spread of artificial intelligence. It not only disrupts social order but combined with weapons, wars will be bloodier and more devastating than ever before. There is noise and chaos all around us, and the much-desired peace and quiet appears less achievable.

There is one more major global change that further isolates humans from communicating with God. We are told that prior to the second coming of Christ, there would be a concentrated effort to create a global society with one government, one economy, one financial institution, one global judiciary system, and one religion. There is an effort to do away with sovereign nations, erase borders, and unite all cultures in one happy family where everybody is equal. The efforts to achieve this goal started a long time ago, but in the last twenty years, they have progressed almost to full fruition.

Obviously, there are more factors to creating an environment that greatly hinders either God’s ability to be heard or human ability to receive a response from Him. God is patient, and He can wait to speak to humans when it is the right
