How to Achieve a Perfect SAT Score - Eric Misiame

    INTRODUCTION

The SAT is a college entrance exam that is utilized by the majority of colleges and universities to make admissions choices. The College Board established and administers the SAT, a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper exam.

The SAT is a standardized test that is commonly utilized in the United States for college admissions. The College Board first launched it in 1926, and its nomenclature and scoring have changed several times since then. The College Board owns the Educational Testing Service, a private, non-profit company in the United States that administers the SAT. The SAT assesses verbal thinking, critical reading, and mathematics abilities, with the College Board including an essay as an optional component of the exam. The SAT is often taken by juniors and seniors in high school.

According to the College Board, the SAT assesses literacy and writing skills required for academic success in college. Examiners discovered a very high connection of 0.80 between SAT scores and grades received in first-year college courses in a study on the association between SAT scores and college grades.

    ––––––––

The goal of the SAT is to assess a high school student's preparation for college and to give universities a single point of comparison for all candidates. College admissions officers will look at your standardized test results, high school GPA, classes you took in high school, letters of recommendation from instructors or mentors, extracurricular activities, admissions interviews, and personal essays.

The importance of SAT scores in the college admission process varies per school.

Overall, the higher your SAT/ACT score, the more alternatives for attending and paying for college you will have.

We've also included links to the greatest resources available, both on this site and elsewhere. So, what are you holding out for? Let's get started!

What Exactly Is the SAT Exam?

The SAT is an exam used by institutions to determine a student's college preparedness. The SAT, originally known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test, is created by The College Board.

Given that studies have proven that standardized test results can predict a student's achievement in his or her first year of college—but nothing more—the term SAT no longer stands for anything. That should give you an idea of what the SAT is nowadays: a college admissions exam. Not an IQ test or a Magic-8 ball that can forecast your entire life!
